Where:

Find the energy input when the constant is 10, the feed size is 2 and the product size is 8.

This implies that;

K = Constant = 10
D1 = Feed Size = 2
D2 = Product Size = 8

E = K(1/D21/D1)
E = 10(1/81/2)
So, E = 10(0.125 – 0.5)
E = 10(-0.375)
E = -3.75

Therefore, the energy input is -3.75 J.
